In Episode 50, we learned about a suspicious death, a husband who remarried within months, who then fled the country. With very little coverage of the death, and even less information about the events leading up to her death, we submitted FOIA requests to fill in the gaps. Recently, one of our FOIA requests was completed and a 21-page police report on Gwen's death was sent to us.

September 7th, 2014 - bow hunter Aaron Hedges and his party ventured out into the mountains of western Montana. The group was planning a week-long hunt in the Campfire Lake area of the Crazy Mountains Range. After an issue with a pack animal, Aaron ventured north to a supply cache the group had left the previous year. This would be the last time his hunting party would ever see him. Shortly after an obituary is posted in the local paper indicating that she passed away from the illness. However, there are conflicting statements about the actual cause of her death. EP. #14: Dyatlov Pass Incident - Ural Mountains Russia
January 31, 1959, a 23-year-old ski hiker named Igor Alekseyevich Dyatlov (Dee-at-lao-v) embarked on a journey to reach the peak of Otorten, a mountain in the Northern Urals. The Soviet college student brought a team of eight experienced hikers from the Ural Polytechnic Institute along with him for the adventure.
EP. #11: Yuba City Five - Plumas National Forest
On February 24th, 1978 a group of five adults set out from Yuba City California heading north to Chico to watch a college basketball game. After the conclusion of the game, the five men were to return to Yuba City, where they had a basketball tournament the next day. What unfolded next in the following days and weeks is shocking and unexplainable.
